HI, I'M NIKKI!
I have almost a decade of experience as a journalist and editor in New York City working for publications that include FOOD & WINE Magazine, The Huffington Post, VICE, and Culture Trip. I also have four years of experience in digital advertising and marketing where I worked at top ad agencies on multi-million dollar accounts such as Converse, LVMH, Evian, and Volvo.
I am an entrepreneur who founded a women's travel media company called Unearth Women. In less than a year, my team and I were able to turn an idea into the first dedicated women's travel magazine that is now internationally sold in Barnes & Noble and major bookstores worldwide. Since Unearth Women's launch in 2018, my company has been featured in The New York Times, Good Morning America, Vogue Spain, Travel + Leisure, and more. As an expert in the travel space, I have spoken at the New York Times Travel Show, Women's Travel Fest, Women in Travel Summit, and 'What She Said' Series at the W Hotel.
Outside of my career, I am an avid traveler and animal lover. I often seek opportunities to volunteer with animals and support ethical animal tourism on my independent travels. To-date, I have volunteered with elephants in Thailand, visited an orangutan sanctuary in Borneo, adopted a rescued puppy from Belize, reported on the unethical whaling industry in Iceland and dog meat trade in Bali, and frequented cat cafes in Japan and Hong Kong.
