I am a travel editor, freelance journalist, producer, public speaker, and author based in New York City. Originally, I am from Bogotá, Colombia.
Currently, I am an editor at Fodor's Travel where I assist with editing, writing, and commissioning freelance stories. In addition to Fodor's Travel, I am the Founding Editor of Unearth Women, a women’s travel magazine I founded as a passion project back in 2018. My work on Unearth Women has been featured in The New York Times, Good Morning America, CNN, Vogue Spain, and The Washington Post. In its first year, Unearth Women scaled quickly from an idea to a print magazine sold in over 800 Barnes & Noble locations nationwide.
As an author, I am represented by the Paradigm Talent Agency and working on my first women's travel book, Wanderess, which is inspired by Unearth Women. Wanderess will bepublished by Clarkson Potter in Spring 2022. Previously, I worked as the Travel Editor for The Infatuation, Atlas Obscura, and Culture Trip. In addition to my editorial experience, I am a freelance journalist with bylines in Cosmopolitan, Zagat, VICE, Food & Wine, Roads & Kingdoms, and more.
Throughout my career, I have both produced and hosted video content for various publications. At Culture Trip, I was host and co-producer of the original series, Hungerlust. At Unearth Women, I am host and producer of the original series #WomenOwned. Currently, I am a producer of a true-crime documentary in partnership with Unrealistic Ideas and One Foot Forward, which is currently in the pre-production stages.
As a public speaker, I've had the honor of speaking at various travel conferences including the Women’s Travel Fest, Women in Travel Summit, Latino Travel Fest, Nomadic Network, The New York Times Travel Show, and New York Travel Fest.
