Currently, Nikki is a senior editor for Fodor's Travel, an international travel brand reaching 4.3 million monthly readers. As editor, Nikki works closely with the digital team to commission, edit, and publish daily travel stories to the Fodor's website. In addition, Nikki works with the team on special projects such as the annual Fodor's Finest Hotel List and the Fodor's GO List.
As the Founding Editor and Co-Founder of Unearth Women, Nikki defined the editorial voice of Unearth Women's print magazine (sold in over 800 Barnes & Noble locations) and digital publication. Combining travel stories with in-depth reporting, Nikki works closely with freelance journalists to shine a light on women's stories around the globe. Nikki's work with Unearth Women has been featured in The New York Times, CNN, Good Morning America, Vogue, and more.
As the previous Travel Editor for The Infatuation, Nikki worked to build out new travel content for this historically restaurant-centric website. Nikki managed the travel team, a pool of international freelancers, and worked on curating restaurant guides to cities around the globe, while beginning to introduce travel content. Unfortunately, her time at The Infatuation was cut short due to layoffs during the Coronavirus global pandemic.
As Places Editor for Atlas Obscura, Nikki managed the Places editorial team and a pool of contributing freelancers. Her responsibilities included managing the editorial team, the editorial monthly calendar and budget, editing and assigning stories to a pool of freelancers, and working closely with the sales team on branded content.
Nikki was a member of the original editorial team in NYC that helped build the Culture Trip company and secure an 80 million dollar round in Series B funding. As Travel Editor, she oversaw US editorial operations for the travel genre of Culture Trip. Her work consisted of editing content from a pool of staff writers based in 40 cities globally. In addition, she worked to co-produce and host the original video series, Hungerlust, which ran multiple episodes that explored the diverse culinary scene of NYC.
